DIANE KIME

Born in Newcastle NSW and currently residing in Samford area QLD.

Diane works mainly in Genesis heatset oil paint. She also does sketching in charcoal, drawing, watercolour, papercrafts and handcrafts. It has only been in the past few years that Diane has had the opportunity to pursue this relaxing and absorbing hobby. The end result of years of photography, gathering ideas and notes all come together in her artwork. Observing her surroundings and listening to people all help shape her work.  Sometimes it is the little things that make a painting come alive. Diane does each piece for her own enjoyment and hopefully along the way other people find joy in her paintings too.

Diane has exhibited locally since 2007. In fundraisers, libraries, Samford Garden Expo, Samford Show (winning first and second place), the Samford and Surrounds Arts Trails 2015.

Diane is in the process of designing her own working studio/gallery which will eventually be open to the public by appointment and Open Days throughout the year.

MEDIUMS

Diane cuts and makes her own boards/canvases to suit each piece of work. Using a variety of mediums such as her own texture recipe, heatset oils, acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, pastels, inks, pencils etc.
